"Creating Realities Through Education and Opportunity”

I am grateful to the John M. Langston Bar Association and the incredibly meaningful impact that it has had in my life, both professionally and personally. I moved to Los Angeles twelve years ago to attend Southwestern Law School. I did not know anyone. My goal was to keep my head down, get through law school and graduate.  I was so fortunate the day that I met Kim Carter and Jamon Hicks – both leaders in the Langston Bar Association community -- on campus at a Bar Association fair.  When I walked over to the Langston table to introduce myself, they eagerly described the benefits of joining Langston, and encouraged me to sign up. Soon thereafter, I joined the Youth Outreach Committee and have been actively involved in Langston ever since.
